Why should I belong to the Minnesota Miniature Horse Club?

It is your connection to other like-minded folks that have Miniature horses.

The club is a professionally run club with a binding set of by-laws and has a minimum of five Board of Directors meetings and membership meetings per year.

A Newsletter is published bi-monthly as part of the $25.00 annual membership. Members may advertise in the Newsletter at a very reasonable rate.

The club has an ongoing entry in both the AMHA Miniature Horse World
and the AMHR Journal publications. The club is recognized and approved by both the AMHA and the AMHR.

Annually, a top quality July show is sponsored by the club to accommodate both an approved AMHA sanctioned show and an AMHR sanctioned show. Periodically grooming, show preparation, and nutritional clinics are held. These are fun and educational. The club tries to provide fun and education for youth of all ages.

Participation is ongoing at the Minnesota Horse Expo each April. This event brings a lot of exposure of the little horses to other horse owners as well as visitors to the Expo.

There are structured ongoing programs for both a futurity competition and a gelding incentive. The futurity has been expanded in 2010 to include 3-year-old performance classes.

A website provides information to the world about the club, its members, activities, and other informative articles. Members may post on this website at no or minimal cost.

Each fall, the club has a nice awards banquet and a donated goodies auction to help shore up the treasury. This is a fun, and rewarding event.

Several inspired club members have gone on to become successful leaders in AMHA and some others have become trainers and have shown very successfully at the National level of both AMHA and AMHR.
